A former fire chief in San Joaquin County is charged with embezzlement.
Frank Ralph Ramirez was arrested Tuesday on charges of embezzlement from the Mokelumne Fire District, KCRA reported.
Ramirez, who was chief from 2016 until 2022, also is accused of money laundering following a probe that started in February.
It’s unclear how much he’s accused of taking.
